Introduction: Finding the Right Wedding Invitation Printing Services
After 10 years of designing wedding stationery and running my award-winning Hampshire-based studio, I’ve learned that even the most beautiful design can fall flat without quality printing. That’s why choosing the right wedding invitation printing services is absolutely crucial for your special day.
As someone who’s worked with countless couples and seen both printing triumphs and disasters, I’m here to share my professional recommendation for a service that consistently delivers exceptional results. Whether you’re a fellow designer looking for reliable wedding invitation printing or a couple wanting to ensure your invitations look perfect, this guide will help you make the right choice.
Why Quality Printing Matters for Your Wedding Invitations
When couples search for “high quality printing art work,” they’re usually driven by one concern: they want their wedding invitations to look as stunning in print as they do on screen. This isn’t just about aesthetics – it’s about making the right first impression for your wedding.
The difference between professional printing and home printing is like comparing a professional photograph to a phone snapshot. Professional invitation printing services use:
- Premium paper stocks like Tintoretto Gesso (my personal favourite for its luxurious feel)
- Colour-calibrated printing equipment that ensures accurate reproduction
- Finishing techniques that add sophistication
- Quality control processes that catch issues before they reach you
I’ve seen too many couples try to save money with home printing, only to end up disappointed with faded colours, poor paper quality, or misaligned text. Your wedding invitations set the tone for your entire celebration – they deserve professional treatment.

After testing numerous providers over the years, I consistently recommend Printed.com for couples who want to print invitations professionally. This isn’t a casual recommendation – it’s based on years of experience and countless successful projects.

Expert Tips for Wedding Invitation Printing Success
Paper Selection Advice For wedding card design that truly impresses, paper choice is crucial. I recommend:
- 300gsm minimum for invitations
- Textured papers for traditional themes
- Smooth finishes for modern designs
- Always order samples first
Design File Preparation Ensure your files are print-ready:
- Use CMYK colour mode
- Include 3mm bleed on all sides
- Embed all fonts
- Save as high-resolution PDF
Quantity Recommendations Order 10-15% more than your guest count to account for:
- Keepsakes for yourselves
- Last-minute additions
- Potential damage during addressing
Timing Your Order Place your printing order at least 4 weeks before your send date. This allows time for:
- Proof approval
- Printing and delivery
- Addressing and posting
